Course Duration:
This course can be completed within 1-2 weeks.  

The duration of this blended course will vary based on the learner's individual pace in completing the online components and the delivery modes chosen for each course.  

Mode of Delivery:

Provide First Aid (Includes CPR) 

• • Blended: Self-paced online + attend a 3-hour face-to-face assessment session. Learners must complete online coursework prior to attending a 3hr assessment-only session at one of our training venues. Learners have a maximum of 2 weeks to complete the online content and are ineligible to attend an assessment session until they have completed all modules. 
  • Classroom: Attend 1 day of face-to-face training and assessment (3 hours of training, 3 hours of assessments, total of 6-hour class). All work done in class, no online modules. 

Food Handling, Manual Handling and Infection Control

• This course is delivered through a blended approach, combining online, self-paced learning with face-to-face practical assessments Students will only need to attend in-person sessions for the assessment of practical skills. Most of the theoretical learning is completed online, providing students with flexibility to work through the material at their own pace and in a way that aligns with their individual learner needs. Learners are provided with up to two weeks to complete the online material. Once completed, they can schedule the practical session to finalise the course.   
• Please note that work placement must be completed in order to competently complete HLTINF006 Infection Control. 

Units of Competency:
To successfully accomplish this program, students must complete:  

• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (valid for 12 months) 

• HLTAID011 Provide first aid (valid for 3 years) 

• SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety 

• HLTINF006 Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control 

• Non-accredited training in Manual Handling. 

To be eligible to enrol, learner must: 

• • be a minimum of 14 years of age at commencement of training 

• • undertake an online LLN (Language, Literacy & Numeracy) assessment prior to the commencement of the program 

• • USI (Unique Student Identifier) number 

• • Access to a reliable PC, laptop or tablet computer

• • Access to a reliable internet connection and word processing software such as Microsoft Office suite 

On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA) via email in: 

• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation 

• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid 

• SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety 

• HLTINF006 Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control 

The units of competency listed above, are recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework. 

A Certificate of Completion will also be issued upon successful completion of the Manual Handling training. Please note, Manual Handling is a non-accredited course unlike the other courses, apart of this bundle.  

Renewal (First Aid and CPR) 

The SafeWork Australia model Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace and the Australian Resuscitation Council recommend that first aid skills are renewed every three years, and resuscitation skills (HLTAID009/HLTAID015) are renewed every 12 months. Please also refer to specific industry standards and guidelines.
