PROVIDE FIRST AID (INCLUDES CPR)
Course Overview
This course equips individuals with the key skills and knowledge to recognise and effectively respond in emergency situations. Students will gain expertise in performing CPR techniques and basic first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines.

This course is offered in a blended format.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to enrol, learner must:

- be a minimum of 14 years of age at commencement of training
- undertake an online LLN assessment prior to the commencement of the program
- have access to reliable PC, laptop or tablet computer
UNITS OF COMPETENCY
This skillset consists of 3 units of competency.
COMPLETION / CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA) in:

- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
The units of competency within this skill set are recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
RENEWAL
The SafeWork Australia model Code of Practice: First Aid in the Workplace and the Australian Resuscitation Council recommend that first aid skills are renewed every three years, and resuscitation skills (HLTAID009/HLTAID015) are renewed every 12 months. Please also refer to specific industry standards and guidelines.
