SG00008688 Statement of Attainment in Business

Course overview

This short course has been designed specifically to meet the needs of young people, and especially school leavers, with fundamental skills and knowledge to successfully be employed in the work environment. Learners will develop customer service skills, organise work schedules, monitor performance and use digital forms of communication.

Eligibility criteria

People undertaking training must meet the Smart and Skilled eligibility criteria and fit into the categories below:

  • 2021 school leavers, 16 years and over or

  • Other young people, aged 16-24, who are not in school

Eligible participants will also need to be:

  • living in NSW or working in NSW

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder.

Mode of delivery

This skill set is designed to be delivered either Online or Face-to-Face.

Students will be provided access to a Learning Management System (LMS) where all interactive learning and assessments are located.

Training Schedule

  • 20 hours per week of self-paced study and assessments

  • Four weeks / 80 hours in total

Course fee

This training is subsidised by the New South Wales Government.

Course structure

There are 3 units of competency to complete.


Students who successfully complete all units of competency within this program will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

The units of competence within this skill set are recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
