SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management
Who is this for?
The intended learner for this program will be persons who are working in operational roles in the hospitality industry who want to gain the knowledge and skills to become managers in their field.
It provides hospitality personnel from a variety of operational areas the opportunity to grow within their role and/or take on more responsibility and become leaders.
Reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager. The diversity of employers includes restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
To be eligible to enrol into this course, learner must:
be working in a role within the hospitality industry and environment
have completed a minimum of Year 10 or equivalent
undertake an online LLN assessment prior to the commencement of the program to determine their suitability and ability to complete the program

Assessment tasks will include in combination:
Portfolio of evidence
3rd party reports
2 year enrolment but expected completion is 12 months
Mode of delivery
Predominantly online with work-based evidence.
A total of 28 units must be completed comprising 13 core and 15 electives.
There are 28 units of competency to complete; 13 core and 15 elective units.
Upon successful completion, students will be awarded SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management from Brighten Institute Australia.
