Course overview

This qualification is suited to a range of individuals who use well-developed administrative skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of administrative contexts.

They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources.

Completion of the course will help you develop outstanding administrative and organisational skills, learn to analyse and evaluate information, develop leadership skills and find solutions to a range of office problems. This course covers a range of complex administrative tasks and duties that are required in most workplaces.

Entry requirements

To be eligible to enrol into this course, learner must:

  • be 18 years old or older

  • ensure the stable network connection through any type of devices including PCs, laptops, tablet PCs and smartphones (apply for distance learners)

  • Upon acceptance of your enrolment, you will be required to complete the electronic Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

Maximum study duration of 12 months.

Assessment methods

Summative assessments may include written/oral questions, practical/observational assessments, and project works with discussion

Course structure

There are 13 units of competency to complete; 2 core unit and 11 elective units.


Students that successfully complete all 12 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration. Students who successfully complete some units of competency will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited unit(s) in which they have been deemed competent.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
